Description
We are looking for skilled individuals for the Production Support Team (Payments IT department) at HSBC. The team is responsible for technical operations of Global Payments Execution, Messaging & Orchestration and Sanctions & Investigation services.
As a Senior Production Engineer, you will provide full scope of day-to-day Production Support service, including resolution of live incidents and post-resolution problem management activities. You will also provide technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems, install new software releases, and drive engineering excellence through automation, observability, SRE, and toil reduction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for critical real-time payments
- Resolve live incidents and perform post-resolution problem management activities

- Work closely with stakeholders globally
- Perform data analysis for key problem areas
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in SQL and PL/SQL
- 3+ years experience in Linux
- 3+ years experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, Java)
- Strong understanding of technology layers in application landscape
- Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
Nice to have:
- Experience in Agile/DevOps environment
- Experience in production support
