Applied AI Solutions Architect

Join phData, a remote-first data and AI consultancy company, as an Applied AI Solutions Architect in their Agentic Delivery Center in Bangalore.

In this role, you will lead the architecture and hands-on implementation of high-impact, production-ready agentic AI solutions that reason, retrieve, act, and integrate with enterprise systems to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and drive end-to-end architecture, solution design, and delivery of agentic AI solutions for enterprise clients across diverse industries.
• Design and build reusable agentic accelerators and reference architectures aligned with the Intelligence Platform.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear agentic solution designs.
• Architect production-grade agents emphasizing reliability, scalability, security, observability, and evaluation.
• Ensure engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value for clients.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Collaborate with others to shape the architectural standards for agentic capabilities and accelerators.
• Establish the foundation of the India Agentic Delivery Center.
• Engage with cross-functional partners to deliver successful client engagements.
• Ensure high quality in deliverables through code reviews, documentation, testing, governance, and adherence to security and compliance standards.

Practice & Firm Contribution:

• Contribute to internal initiatives such as IP development, accelerators, reference architectures, templates, playbooks, and training related to AI engineering.
• Represent phData with professionalism in all interactions.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach team members.
• Help define and refine practice standards, reusable assets, and delivery frameworks.

About You:

• You are a technical leader and client-focused consultant with experience turning complex problems into robust, production-ready agentic systems.
• You have 6+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Software Engineer, or Data Engineer building and deploying production AI/ML solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on understanding of Large Language Models, agentic architectures, and retrieval frameworks.
• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks and the broader agentic stack.
• Experience designing evaluation, guardrail, and observability strategies for LLM and agent systems.
• Hands-on experience in modern programming languages, such as Python.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native AI/ML platforms.
• Complete software development lifecycle experience.
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tooling.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL.

Consulting / Delivery Skills:

• Experience delivering projects for external or internal clients in a professional services or consulting environment.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured, actionable steps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Collaboration & Ownership:

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering high-quality work.
• Experience building reusable accelerators, modular codebases, or products deployed across multiple clients.
