Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Animation team, focusing on the Frostbite game engine. You will collaborate with accomplished teams to push the boundaries of interactive realism and immersive gameplay.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will handle a variety of rewarding engineering challenges, from improving user workflows for content creators to optimizing real-time runtime performance. You will work on core animation systems that run in-game, as well as the tools and workflows used by content creators to build and author animation data.
Responsibilities:
- Build performant systems and features across our runtime animation engine (C++) and content creator tools (C#).
- Take ownership of animation features from technical design through to production, testing, and multi-platform support.
- Improve tool and game runtime performance.
- Partner with animators, technical artists, and game development teams to turn creative concepts into playable features.
- Participate in design and code reviews, collaborating with the team to share knowledge and keep our codebase reliable and easy to work in.
- Mentor junior engineers on the team to support their technical growth.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong professional programming skills to improve and debug C++ and C# code
- Experience working with 3D math, including transforms, rotations, and coordinate systems.
- Experience in game engine development
- Performance and memory profiling
- Experience with concurrent programming models
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
