IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Systems Administration to join the IT Engineering team at Tanium. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our hybrid systems infrastructure to ensure the availability, security, and maintenance of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid systems infrastructure
• Ensure availability, security, and maintenance of systems
• Perform infrastructure deployment, management, planning, scaling, scheduling, etc.
• Drive and enhance automation for efficiency, scalability, and consistency
• Work with key business groups to architect and implement technology and solutions
• Ensure technology is documented, deployed, and configured securely
• Leverage AI and automation tools for daily tasks and operations
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve operational challenges
• Participate in projects related to infrastructure, business execution, security, etc.
• Solve incidents and administrative tasks related to infrastructure services
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
• Participate in on-call rotations

Requirements:

• 4+ years as a Systems Administrator, Operations Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud Engineer or similar
• Strong background with Linux, Windows, and VMware systems administration and deployment
• Direct administration experience with Cloud Computing & Networking Environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with Bash, Python, and PowerShell scripting
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
• Experience with backups, high availability, and infrastructure resiliency
• Familiarity with monitoring and management of enterprise systems
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code toolsets (Terraform, Vault)
• Experience with Configuration Management toolsets (Ansible)
• Experience with SAN storage arrays and troubleshooting
