Description
The London Borough of Bexley is seeking a Building Control Compliance Officer to join its Building Control team. The team delivers statutory Building Control functions and handles building regulations applications in the borough. The successful candidate will investigate alleged or identified cases of non-compliance with Building Regulations and dangerous structures, managing cases from initial investigation to resolution, including pursuing enforcement action and cost recovery where necessary.
The role involves cultivating good working relationships with internal and external partners, providing excellent customer service, and being a member of a multi-disciplinary team dealing with all aspects of building control.
The ideal candidate will have existing building control experience, with or without registered building inspector status, and be looking to develop their career in an ambitious and forward-thinking local authority.
