People Strategy and Delivery Lead

As a People Strategy and Delivery Lead at McLaren Automotive, you will report to the Head of People Operations & Strategy and play a crucial role in converting the People Strategy into executable plans and delivering them.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Building and owning the delivery plan for each People Strategy priority
• Driving delivery through to completion and removing blockers
• Maintaining a single consolidated view of the People portfolio
• Holding project owners to account for their commitments
• Designing, building, and owning the project delivery framework for the People Function
• Establishing and running the governance that sits above the framework
• Applying the same framework, measures, and reporting discipline to business-as-usual projects
• Identifying and managing interdependencies between strategic initiatives, BAU projects, and cyclical activity
• Ensuring no project enters the portfolio without agreed measures of success and a baseline captured at initiation
• Tracking benefits beyond go-live and reporting whether the intended outcome was achieved
• Producing a weekly delivery report across the full portfolio
• Building and maintaining the reporting tools that make delivery performance visible

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Demonstrable experience of building project plans and delivering them end-to-end
• Experience designing project and governance frameworks from scratch
• A track record of running strategic and operational portfolios side by side
• Strong measurement discipline
• Exceptional organisational and planning skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong analytical capability
• Excellent written communication, presentation, and briefing skills
