Description
At Freenome, we are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to help define and grow the company's presence. The MSL will interact with key clinical decision-makers that influence or manage the use of screening products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage clinicians, including primary care physicians, oncologists, gastroenterologists, pathologists, and advanced practice providers, as well as managed care and payor customers.
- Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers in academic and community clinics, hospital systems, payor organisations, and other institutions.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, knowledge gaps, challenges, and evidence requirements for clinical integration, reimbursement, and coverage.
- Develop strategic territory plans to address customer needs and educate them on the clinical attributes of Freenome products.
- Provide support for on-site oral presentations, data reviews, and interactive education events for key opinion leaders.
Thought Leadership and Industry Awareness:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific and clinical advancements, market trends, and regulatory guidelines relevant to Freenome products.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and meetings as a thought leader, fostering key relationships.
- Assist in organising forums and events for key opinion leaders to discuss clinical challenges and unmet needs.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate with sales executives to identify and advise on strategic partnership opportunities.
- Promote effective, compliant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure close alignment with commercial field-based teams to provide medical support.
Investigator-Initiated Studies:
- Identify investigator-initiated study proposals that align with Freenome's medical affairs strategies.
- Present study proposals to cross-functional partners in clinical development and scientific medical affairs.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in medical or health sciences (e.g., MS, MD, DO, PhD, PharmD).
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or oncology.
- Experience as a medical science liaison in oncology or diagnostics.
- In-depth scientific and therapeutic knowledge.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical trial management and regulatory guidance.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
