Description
We are seeking an experienced Principal Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical to join our team in India.
The role involves preparing quantity breakdowns and reports on deviations from interim milestone estimates and tender results, assisting with cash flow preparation, maintaining a cost database, and measuring variations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for all trades, including Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting works
- Develop quantities for cost plans at various stages, including value engineering and major variations
- Perform detailed reviews of contract specifications and drawings to identify errors and discrepancies
- Assist in value engineering assignments and maintain current construction cost data
- Prepare quantity variance reports and maintain files and records of work performed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Registration and professional certification in organisations such as RICS or CIOB is mandatory
- 15+ years of relevant experience in a consulting firm and/or general contracting or QS firms
- Proven skills in quantity surveying and computer literacy with knowledge of computer-based estimating and software such as CostX/Estimator, ACAD, and BIM
- Experience in handling a team of 4-6 resources and strong analytical and social skills
