Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our global Revenue Accounting operations team, supporting the Paid Revenue segment, including Premium, Partner, and Other Paid Revenues.

This high-visibility role involves broad cross-functional exposure, working closely with teams across Finance and the wider Spotify ecosystem. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing analytics, journal entries, reconciliations, accounting system testing, and related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate accounting for all components of the Paid Revenue segment.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and SOX control requirements.
• Execute and review month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Identify operational efficiency opportunities and collaborate with leadership to drive process improvements.
• Lead strategic efficiency work, drafting proposals and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Support new business initiatives from a financial accounting perspective.
• Coordinate with onshore and offshore team members.
• Support special projects and perform ad hoc analyses as needed.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS, Digital Commerce, or Digital Media.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA or CA licence preferred.
• Advanced data and systems skills; AI and SQL proficiency a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location and Benefits:

• Based in New York City with flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a week.
• Salary range: $86,046 - $122,923, plus equity.
