Description
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team at HSBC in Kraków, Poland.
Your role will be part of the Group Functions Technology team, which focuses on financial crime risk management.
You will design and develop robust technical solutions for surveillance services, partner with the product owner and the business to shape features and requirements, automate testing to improve quality and speed of delivery, automate deployment to enable small and frequent releases, and own production availability for your service using a build-it-own-it approach.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Substantial software development experience with strong Java skills
- A very good understanding of the Spring framework, including Spring Boot
- Effective use of SQL and handling big data volume transformation
- Strong CI/CD knowledge using Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or similar tools
- Familiarity with the ELK monitoring stack or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Familiarity with Airflow or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Familiarity with Spark or other big data tools or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills and delivering to tight deadlines with clear communication and ownership

The pay range for this role is 17,483 PLN – 25,000 PLN (monthly, gross).
