We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our dynamic team at Asda Opticians, committed to excellence in healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and service, working alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards.
The role involves completing eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations, and supporting the delivery of a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions. Responsibilities:
- Conduct eye examinations and contact lens fittings
- Provide extended services examinations and treatment
- Support colleagues with training and coaching
- Maintain departmental standards
- Develop and implement new patient services
Requirements:
- Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
- Registered performer with the NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months)
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Able to use clinical skills to deliver a memorable customer experience
