As a Senior Accountant II, you will have a challenging opportunity to work with Electronic Arts (India) in the Record to Report function. You will be responsible for performing and reviewing General Ledger activities, supporting month-end close, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and partnering effectively with stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing and reviewing General Ledger activities, including Bank Reconciliations, Accruals, Prepaids, Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and Manual Journal Entries in compliance with policy.
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Intercompany and Lease Accounting, resolving accounting and reconciliation queries independently.
- Ensuring accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations and providing meaningful analysis and commentary on movements in GL balances.
- Supporting month-end close activities and ensuring adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit processes.
- Applying strong understanding of US GAAP and underlying accounting principles to daily operations and issue resolution.
- Driving process efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and automation where applicable.
- Partnering with stakeholders to support quarterly reviews, business reviews, and projects as guided by the business.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating accounting risks, including aged or unreconciled balances.
- Supporting transitions, documentation, and service level agreements for new or evolving processes as required.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and cross-functional partners to meet organisational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4-5 years of experience or Master-degree in Commerce with a minimum of 9 to 10 years of relevant business experience.
- Experience in Accounting and Reconciliation for a large MNC, preferably BPO/KPOs or Captives having Finance and Accounting services.
- Solid working knowledge of US GAAP; experience with complex accounting areas is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and multi-currency environments; exposure to Cadency and HFM is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Customer-focused, adaptable to changing priorities, and able to manage multiple work plans with moderate supervision.
- Willingness to work from the Hyderabad office under a hybrid model.
