4th/5th Grade Teacher

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 4th/5th Grade Teacher at North Bend STEM Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

North Bend STEM Academy serves students in grades K–5, offering hands-on, project-based learning using the nationally recognized Project Lead The Way (PLTW) curriculum. The school pairs a rigorous STEM focus with a warm, structured environment that nurtures curiosity and prepares students for high-demand careers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
• Manage student behavior and create a positive classroom environment
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms
• Communicate with families about student growth and incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice
• Participate in non-instructional activities and collaborate with colleagues

Requirements:

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information and supervise students in various settings
• Pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in an urban environment
