Welocalize, a Welo Global brand, serves localization teams through AI-enabled multilingual content solutions that enable enterprises to operate and scale globally.
We're looking for a native-level Tamil speaker to join a confidential, large-scale AI and consumer technology programme for a major global technology and communications client. As a Tamil Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester, you'll evaluate a pre-release AI model in Tamil and test how the product performs on a client-supplied device , a smartphone and a next-generation smart glass.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review pre-release AI model output in Tamil and judge it on accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
- Test the Tamil experience against the English one: confirm feature parity, complete a full user journey using non-English input, and check the product handles non-Latin script, diacritics, right-to-left text, and mixed-language input correctly.
- Spot any display problems or localization errors and write up each issue clearly.
- Share your perspective as a native-level speaker on navigation, usability, and language-specific nuances.
- Work on-site in a private, secure area of the Welocalize office.
Job Requirements:
- Native-level or fully bilingual Tamil, written and spoken.
- Confidence with a smartphone and a laptop, and comfort moving between iOS and Android.
- A sharp eye for detail and fair, objective judgement when assessing quality.
- The ability to work independently, follow a detailed test script and guideline, and explain an issue clearly in English.
- Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation is a strong plus.
