Description
Leidos' Defense Sector is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its team in Huntsville, AL.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting component and assembled parts, reading and understanding assembly instructions, drawings, and technical data packages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting internal AS9100 audits
- Writing non-conformance reports and investigating root causes
- Leading or participating in 5S activities
- Instructing technicians on proper installation, assembly, and techniques
The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of relevant quality inspection experience
- Experience in leading operations or teams in completing tasks
- Problem-solving skills and ability to relate with other team members and communicate with different levels of management
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings
- Familiarity with using measurement tools such as micrometers, height gages, and calipers
- IPC certification or 3 years of relative electrical inspection experience
- Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work full-time with minimal supervision and adapt priorities based on workflow
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for quality inspections
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- Residency in the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate
- US citizenship and a Secret clearance
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with government contract and SOW interpretation
- Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations
- Previous auditing experience
The pay range for this position is $59,150.00 - $106,925.00.
