4th Grade Special Education Teachers K-5 - ICT (26-27 SY)

Challenge Preparatory Charter School seeks a 4th Grade Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will deliver exceptional instruction and assess scholar growth, providing academic and cultural support to the school and team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction to students of all ability levels, including English Language Learners and students with disabilities
• Collaborate with colleagues to write unit plans and interim assessments, share teaching strategies, and analyze student data
• Employ a variety of collaborative team-teaching models for ELL students and special needs students
• Apply data gathered through formative and summative assessments to guide instructional planning
• Develop an individual growth plan, which includes professional goals and objectives in collaboration with the Principal and/or Assistant Principal

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
• NYS certification preferred
• Teaching experience in an urban school setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to create a positive school culture that is welcoming, fun, and conducive to learning
