IT Support Engineer (Remote — West Coast Hours)

Job Overview

As an IT Support Engineer at Pomelo Care, you will play a crucial role in shaping a world-class IT program at a rapidly scaling startup. You will be responsible for creating an intuitive technology environment for your colleagues and providing primary IT support coverage during west coast hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop an intuitive and user-friendly technology environment for fellow team members.
• Serve as the primary IT support contact during west coast hours for a mostly remote team.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for a distributed team, including account provisioning, device shipping, and recovery.
• Implement security policies across various platforms like Okta, Slack, and Google Workspace to ensure patient data safety.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an IT support or operations role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, focusing on end-user experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, anchoring coverage for the latter part of the day.
• Experience with system administration, particularly with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Apple hardware.
• Familiarity with MDM tools such as Iru or Jamf for device lifecycle management in a remote workforce.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automation tools like Okta Workflows, Slack Workflows, or BetterCloud.
• Familiarity with Slack-based IT ticketing tools.
• Experience with security and compliance platforms like Vanta or Drata.

The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000, with eligibility for equity participation.
