Director, Marketing Technology & Innovation

Pinterest is hiring a Director, Marketing Technology & Innovation, the most senior technology leader within its Marketing, Creative and Communications organization.

This role starts as a player-coach, leading a hybrid team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs), AI Solutions Engineers, and third-party platform engineering partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead AI Solutions & Platform and Tools: Own the AI roadmap and intake process for Marketing, Creative and Communications; drive production-grade AI solution development.
• Lead the Platform & Tools team: Own and evolve the marketing sites platform and the full Marketing, Creative and Communications tools ecosystem.
• Set the operating model, culture, and prioritization framework across your teams.
• Own & Evolve the MarTech Stack: Own the end-to-end strategy, technical selection, and system integration of a broad marketing tech ecosystem.
• Embed AI Across the Marketing Stack: Implement AI natively within the MarTech stack.
• Operate as an Executive Thought Leader: Influence across the Marketing, Creative and Communications leadership team, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and IT.

Requirements:

• Hands-on marketing experience and hands-on AI implementation experience are both required.
• Minimum of 10 years of technical leadership experience building, configuring, and integrating enterprise MarTech systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.
• Solid background in API integrations, web platform architecture, server-side tracking, CMS ecosystems, and modern delivery practices.
• Hands-on marketing expertise: worked directly in or alongside marketing organizations.
• Hands-on AI implementation: integrated AI and LLMs directly into marketing stacks.
