As a Ford Racing Powertrain System Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complete powertrain systems from concept to production. You will need a strong knowledge of research processes, technology acceleration into production, and high-quality design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual layout and delivery of new complete powertrain systems.
  • Manage program delivery of quality, cost, weight, function, and timing from concept through production.
  • Coordinate with outside engineering and design resources.
  • Interface with core technical specialists to ensure quality system design.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure system feasibility and commercial viability.
  • Manage technical complexities with neighboring systems.
  • Support vehicle program/platform teams on functional performance attributes.
  • Provide technical leadership for prototype builds and problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in developing complete powertrain and underbody systems, with a focus on high-performance applications.
  • Proven experience delivering multiple high-performance powertrain and underbody systems from concept to production.

Salary

  • Salary grade 5-8: $65,100-$166,200 per year.
