Join TEKEVER's dynamic team as a Fabrication Technician. You'll play a crucial role in manufacturing components, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling to high standards. Your expertise in TIG and MIG welding, manual machining, and fabrication will be essential in delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on various materials, including Aluminium and stainless steel.
- Manufacture welded assemblies, brackets, structures, fixtures, and tooling according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out manual machining operations using conventional milling machines and centre lathes.
- Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
- Inspect completed work using measuring equipment to ensure conformity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Fabrication Technician, Welder, Fabricator, or similar precision engineering role.
- Proficient in TIG welding & MIG welding.
- Experience welding Aluminium and stainless steel.
- Experience with manual milling machines and centre lathes.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of dimensional tolerances and basic GD&T.
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances and specifications.
Desirable Experience:
- Aerospace or defence manufacturing experience.
- Coded TIG/MIG welding qualifications.
- Experience working to aerospace welding standards and specifications.
