Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer role is responsible for planning, managing, and maintaining the company's internal network infrastructure, including office networks, data center networks, external connections, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, wireless networks, and related security network devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Operations & Administration:
• Daily maintenance and monitoring of LAN / WAN / Wi-Fi / VPN / Internet / external dedicated lines and other network services.
• Health checks, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and availability maintenance of network devices.
• Management and maintenance of firewalls, proxies, IPS/WAF, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, TACACS+/AAA, and other network and security devices.

• Vendor / Carrier / Group Coordination:
• Performance and SLA monitoring: Review key performance indicators of outsourced network teams and ISP telecom providers daily/weekly/monthly.
• Contract and asset management: Manage maintenance contracts for various network devices and telecom line contracts.

• Network Operations & Governance:
• Major incident command: Serve as the escalation leader for major network failures.
• Change review (CAB): Review change requests submitted by outsourced teams.

• Business Critical Network Support:
• Core node protection: Plan dedicated network bandwidth guarantees (QoS) and backup mechanisms for critical application systems.

• Project Management & Capacity Planning:
• Capacity and trend analysis: Regularly analyze network bandwidth usage and performance bottlenecks.

• Network Architecture Design & Roadmap Planning:
• Develop long-term (1-3 year) network infrastructure blueprints.

Requirements:

• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in large enterprise network architecture design, deployment, or operation.
• 2+ years of team management experience.

• Technical Skills & Certifications:
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Datadog) or automation operations (e.g., Ansible/Python).
• CCNP / CCIE (Cisco) or CCSA / CCSE (Checkpoint) certifications are preferred.
