Reporter, Pro Deals (M&A)

Axios Pro Deals is seeking an experienced M&A reporter to join their team of journalists focused on delivering essential news to the dealmaking community.

The ideal candidate will have subject matter expertise on the M&A landscape, a passion for news and scoops, exceptional writing abilities, and experience driving conversations with scoops and trend stories.

Responsibilities include:

• Beating the competition on mergers, LBOs, and hostile takeovers
• Having a deep understanding of the M&A world, including sources inside banks, law firms, and advisory firms
• Clearly explaining complex deals to Axios readers
• Collaborating with internal and external audiences
• Being comfortable on TV, radio, and podcasts as an expert guest

This is a remote-optional job with a starting salary range of $100,000 - $130,000, dependent on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
