Description
Haven House Children's Hospice is seeking a compassionate Band 5 Nurse to join our Clinical Care Team. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as planned and emergency short breaks.
The successful candidate will have at least one year of post-registration nursing experience and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the hospice. You will be supported to develop your advanced clinical skills and grow your expertise within an experienced and supportive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality nursing care for children and young people with palliative care needs
- Promoting a person-centred care approach within the multi-disciplinary team
- Contributing to care plans and assessments to ensure safe and effective care
- Liaising with the lead for mental capacity assessments and ensuring these are completed as required
- Ensuring care is planned and delivered in accordance with Care Quality Commission standards

The salary for this role is £32,073 to £39,043 per year pro rata, plus a high-cost area supplement.
