Assistant Coordinator, Expanded Learning (All Locations)

The Assistant Coordinator, Expanded Learning serves as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and may serve as second in charge in their absence.

The Assistant Coordinator plays a role as a mentor, tutor, activity leader, and sports coach. They plan and coordinate curriculum, provide outreach and communication to families, and ensure a safe and organized environment for students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outreach and communication to families
• Serve as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director
• May serve as second in charge in the absence of the Aftercare Coordinator/Director
• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for students
• Take attendance to ensure all students are accounted for
• Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging student activities
• Assist students with learning activities and homework assignments
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working with students
• Tuberculosis Clearance and Department of Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor setting
• Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods, hearing and speaking to communicate, seeing to observe accuracy of reports and documents, and dexterity of hand and finger to operate office equipment.
