Description

Ford of Canada is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their team at the Windsor Engine Plant/Essex Engine Plant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating vehicles that keep the world moving and forging a career defined by meaningful impact and innovation.

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Leading new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets through benchmarking, target setting, and tracking process changes
  • Supporting cycle line layout planning and virtual build events with future model operator allocations and time studies
  • Minimizing and/or offsetting labor impacts through labor blitzes, plant tasks/projects, and identifying design/process opportunities
  • Assisting with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line speed changes, time studies, throughput issues, and launch support
  • Maintaining and delivering required IE documentation
  • Working with plants to complete and evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards
  • Collaborating with manufacturing engineering, material handling, ergonomics, and plant personnel

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing operations experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with capacity/operating pattern, labor, launch, new model planning, FPS, and ergonomics
  • Knowledge of time studies, setting up workstations, and line balancing

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with MODAPTS
  • Plant Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Process operations experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept planning and organizational skills

The expected annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00 - $124,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in the Annual Compensation bonus program.
