Director, Engineering

Okta is seeking a Director of Engineering for its Okta Integration Ecosystem in Bengaluru. The successful candidate will lead, scale, and inspire a talented organisation of engineering managers and engineers dedicated to evolving Okta-built integrations across the company's entire product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and scale a world-class engineering organisation in Bengaluru, directly managing engineering managers and senior individual contributors.
• Drive the technical roadmap and execution for Okta's integrations across various applications, including traditional Enterprise systems, SaaS, On-prem infrastructure, Active Directory (AD), Azure, and next-generation AI agents.
• Develop, rollout, and govern the official Okta MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server, and enhance Terraform Provider for robust partner integrations.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture to ensure a secure, robust, and scalable ecosystem.
• Ensure all built integrations adhere to the highest industry security standards.
• Engage with the developer and partner ecosystem to gather feedback and continuously improve integration frameworks.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) space, including OAuth, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Experience bridging legacy infrastructure with modern cloud ecosystems.
• A strong builder mindset with focus on user adoption and measurable business impact.
