Inpatient Rehab Nurse

As an Inpatient Rehab Nurse at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. You will utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, identify nursing problems, plan individualized patient care, participate in performance improvement activities, and provide care that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
