Software Engineer

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform, is seeking a Software Engineer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on critical projects, including creating software, tooling, and distributed systems for automating and managing data center network hardware and compute stacks.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical interviews
• Create software, tooling, and distributed systems for automating and managing data center network hardware and compute stacks
• Create and operate shared infrastructure for Stripe's Cardholder data environment
• Develop deployment tooling
• Prepare for SOX and PCI compliance audits, interviews, and remediations
• Manage projects
• Mentor junior engineers
• Participate in on-call responsibilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 2 years of Software Development experience
• 2 years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform infrastructure automation
• 2 years of experience with reliability, scalability, and distributed systems principles
• 1 year of experience in Go, Ansible, Puppet, Ruby, and Python programming languages
• 1 year of experience in mentorship and leadership of junior software engineers
• 1 year of experience performing 24/7 on-call rotations
• 1 year of experience with monitoring and logging tools, computer network concepts, Linux operating system, and cloud and application security best practices
• 1 year of experience with PCI compliance monitoring, audit processes, and evidence collection
