Description
WSP is seeking a full-time Bridge Inspection Trainee for our Goshen, NY office. The successful candidate will work on projects with our Transportation Team, focusing on bridge inspections and infrastructure projects.
Job Summary As a Bridge Inspection Trainee, you will work under direct supervision to provide technical design and CADD support on projects. Your tasks will include:
- Reviewing previous inspection reports and assisting in planning field operations
- Performing inspection work and compiling reports
- Receiving directions from Project Managers, Team Leaders, and senior staff
- Ensuring technical compliance with DOT standards
- Completing training on assigned tasks
- Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct
- Performing self-guided learning and additional responsibilities as required
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 0 years of relevant experience; no prior work experience in the job classification
- Physically capable of performing continuous field work, including working at heights and in close quarters
- Unrestricted driver's license valid in New York
- General awareness of drafting and design support principles, practices, and techniques
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Effective self-leadership with attention to detail and ability to learn new techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's (AAS/AS) Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $49,800 - $64,230.
