Senior Manager, Infrastructure Lease Accounting

Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Lease Accounting to join the Infrastructure Accounting team.

In this role, you will execute day-to-day accounting for Anthropic's infrastructure lease portfolio , the leased assets underpinning a $50bn investment in American computing infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end accounting for Anthropic's AI infrastructure lease portfolio, including monthly close, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and flux analysis.
• Apply technical accounting expertise to complex infrastructure arrangements under ASC 842.
• Partner with Real Estate, Legal, and Finance teams during contract negotiation and execution.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to non-finance stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve upstream data pipelines.
• Design and scale systems, processes, and controls for a growing lease portfolio.
• Mentor accounting professionals across the Infrastructure Accounting team.
• Serve as a key point of contact with external auditors on lease accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements and automation.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of ASC 842.
• Experience managing a significant lease portfolio in a high-growth environment.
• Analytical abilities and comfort working with large datasets.
• Track record of improving scalable financial processes.
• Experience mentoring and developing accounting professionals.
• Adept at translating technical accounting concepts into financial implications.

Preferred qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
• Experience at hyperscalers or large compute consumers.
• Exposure to infrastructure lease structures.
• Lease accounting software experience.
• SQL proficiency.
• Background in Big 4 accounting or advisory services.

The annual compensation range for this role is $190,000-$230,000 USD.
