Description
As a Senior iOS Software Engineer, you will lead the architecture and quality of the PayPal POS iOS app, including payment-critical flows such as Tap to Pay on iPhone, Key In and reader connectivity.
You will guide the team through taking over ownership of the app from our Sweden colleagues and set the bar for how we build, test and release.
The PayPal POS app is used by small and medium-sized businesses to take card and tap payments, run checkout, manage their product library and inventory, issue receipts, handle refunds and invoices, and see what they earned.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Guide junior engineers and advise immediate management on project-level issues
- Operate with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
Requirements:
- 4 to 7 years of iOS development experience, with a record of shipping and owning a large production app
- Deep Swift expertise and strong app architecture, performance and release management skills
- Experience with payment or hardware-connected apps: Tap to Pay on iPhone, EMV and contactless concepts, Core Bluetooth
- Knowledge of PCI-aware design: handling of PAN and PIN data, tokens and entitlement flows
