Choir Teacher

We are seeking a results-driven Choir Teacher to join our community of educators who are passionate about providing a well-rounded education to our students.

As a Choir Teacher at Success Academy, you will:

• Build a classroom culture that fosters a love for music among students
• Collaborate with music teachers across the network to develop a comprehensive musical program
• Produce high-quality concerts that showcase students' musical skills
• Inspire a love for music through rigorous lessons that focus on creating, connecting, performing, and responding to artistic works
• Participate in training and collaboration with music teachers and leaders to receive targeted feedback and professional development

To be considered for this role, you should:

• Have knowledge of healthy singing habits and strategies to achieve blend, intonation, and dynamic contrast
• Possess strong knowledge of vocal production, part-singing, and age-appropriate repertoire
• Be able to teach accurate pronunciation and articulation in multiple languages commonly used in choral repertoire
• Hold or be pursuing a Bachelor's degree
• Have a track record of success in engaging students in music through creating, performing, and participating in music
• Be passionate about music and learning
• Have teaching experience with a record of effectively using music materials and resources to propel learning
• Understand the cultural dimensions and contributions of music
• Set ambitious goals for yourself and others, and be willing to put in the hard work necessary to achieve them
• Have confidence and presence, and enjoy taking the lead and inspiring others with your passion and commitment
• Enjoy collaborating with others and have leadership experience
• Pay strong attention to detail and have experience juggling multiple responsibilities and planning around competing priorities
• Have experience working with a group of children

The compensation range for this role is $65,000.
