Aluminum Die Cast Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

We are seeking an Aluminum Die Cast Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Anna, Ohio. As an Aluminum Die Cast Manufacturing Equipment Engineer, you will lead the development and execution of innovative technical strategies and solutions across Mass Production, Business Planning, and New Model initiatives to effectively achieve or surpass targets in Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale.

Key Accountabilities:

• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure common understanding and direction.
• Review and analyze daily reports to identify safety and delivery gaps and develop countermeasures and root cause analysis opportunities.
• Utilize data analysis and Plan-Do-Check-Act to lead, support, develop, and justify solutions with related groups/departments.
• Monitor and manage equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function while minimizing operating expense.
• Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences.
• Establish priorities and make decisions based on data analytics to most effectively accomplish business objectives.
• Manage project implementation, schedule, budget, and resource allocations to ensure successful completion and target achievement.
• Test, evaluate, and implement new and innovative technologies to improve overall equipment and process efficiency.
• Develop and manage investment and expense budgets to achieve overall cost targets.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering or engineering technology with relevant experience (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical).
• 0-6 years' experience based on education, preferred co-op experience in Manufacturing.
• Computer literate to support industry-standard software applications.
• Positive attitude, open-minded, and team player.
• Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Self-managed and able to provide and set direction for others to be successful.
• Demonstrates leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrate strong communication (verbal/written) skills.

Working Conditions:

• Work in production environment requiring Personal Protective Equipment and lockout in manufacturing operations.
• Manufacturing environment with the potential of working near hydraulic oils, die lube, molten aluminum, ferrous materials, aluminum materials, and exposure to heat.
• Hands-on investigation and troubleshooting within equipment to countermeasure issues and to determine improvement activity.
• Working with hand/power tools, automation equipment, quality gauging, and instrumentation.
• 40% office environment / 60% manufacturing lineside activity.
• 5-10 hours overtime per week possible.
• Possible weekend or off-shift support as necessary.
• Travel less than 5% (domestic & international).
