Associate Director, Government Relations

The Associate Director, Government Relations role is part of the Anduril Government Relations team, responsible for developing and implementing government affairs strategies with the federal legislative and executive branches as well as state and local government officials.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of near-term and long-term government relations strategies to build the company's reputation and enhance strategic positioning in the industry.
• Develop and implement GR strategy across business lines and fiscal years, engaging on company-wide efforts to enact strategic national security policy and funding priorities.
• Support the planning and execution of appropriations and authorization strategies leading to direct revenue capture for multiple business lines.
• Coordinate and oversee visits by congressional Members and staff to Anduril facilities.
• Support the company's congressional engagement process, including drafting and submitting policy and funding requests.
• Monitor, analyze, and engage in the annual congressional policymaking process to support the company's priorities.

Requirements:

• At least 6+ years of experience in national security, government relations, and/or federal executive or legislative arena.
• Considerable defense/national security experience on Capitol Hill or government relations-related positions.
• Demonstrated success in planning and implementing strategies to promote government relations priorities and influence change in the legislative policy and budget process.
• Significant knowledge and understanding of US federal appropriations and policymaking processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build coalitions and develop and maintain relationships with key Congressional and executive branch officials.
