Description
Anthropic's New Markets and Monetization team focuses on bringing transformational AI to every business. The team is responsible for two main pillars: Verticals, which involves identifying and building for the next API markets, and Monetization, which handles the commercial machinery for the platform to do business anywhere, with anyone.
The role involves owning one of the areas outright, working day-to-day with a dedicated engineering lead and designer, and being measured on company-level goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Partner and platform billing: metering, attributing, and billing usage that reaches Claude through partners, resellers, or other platforms
- Spend observability and controls: giving enterprise buyers a precise view of their spending and enforcing limits and controls
- One account and the startup path built on it: creating a single login and wallet across the API and Claude's subscriptions
- A vertical: developing the platform strategy for a particular industry
The ideal candidate will have experience owning a developer platform, API, billing or money-movement product, or self-serve growth product end-to-end. They should be technically fluent, able to read API docs, work through designs with engineers, and make calls on platform primitives.
The annual compensation range for this role is $305,000-$385,000 USD.
