Description
We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software for Space Systems Command (SSC) Defensive Cyber Operations. The goal is to create defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to ground and space-based cyber threats.
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that development and software continuous delivery and integrations use security best practices throughout the process. You will work onsite at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring capabilities deployed meet security requirements and testing
- Working with cloud deployment activities to ensure configurations meet STIG or DOD required security standards
- Supporting the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab
- Assisting in integrating security protocols within DevSecOps workflows
- Collaborating with team members to manage infrastructure and configuration using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Gaining hands-on experience with cloud systems, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Learning and assisting in software development using Java and Python
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years in technical roles related to DevSecOps, development, or system operations
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Node/JS, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps concepts and tools
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- SAFe certification for Teams, OR the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Active Top Secret security clearance
