Aviation IHM Product Quality Engineer

Honda is seeking a qualified Aviation IHM Product Quality Engineer to join our team in Burlington, North Carolina. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of IHM parts and overall part quality control. You will support new hardware and process development to ensure sufficient maturation and past problem prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support IHM for quality-related activities, including reviewing completed product final inspection sheets and special process documentation for acceptability
• Investigate non-conforming part-related issues (NCMR) and review with engineering
• Implement corrective action and preventative action support for IHM
• Support design change investigations for manufacturing-related activities
• Review processes to ensure design requirements have been met

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, etc.) or related Associate's degree with experience
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role
• Computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to understand drawings and specifications, with effective communication of technical information
• Good interpersonal skills and self-motivation, with the ability to drive continuous improvement
• Experience with CAD/CATIA and working knowledge of gauging, calibration, GD&T, and CMM
• Experience in product nonconformance dispositions (MRB) and product First Article review and approval is a plus
• Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Standard requirements
