You will lead development for an end-to-end solution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and system architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environments.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications, especially within a distributed systems context.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
  • Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of post-grad industry experience, including but not limited to electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or systems engineering.
  • A passion for systems design development, integration, and test.
  • Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience.
  • Experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks using a common language (e.g., Python, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed for test planning and execution, and excitement to work onsite at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA the rest of the time!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Already hold a U.S. Secret security clearance, or higher.
  • Hands-on experience with complex robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with IP-Based networks.
  • Experience with mission systems, including communications systems and components.
  • Familiarity with aviation airworthiness considerations.
