Description
We are seeking a highly skilled SW & Controls Engineer to join our team at AVL Maroc SARL AU in Sala Al Jadida, Morocco.
As a SW & Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing system requirements to identify functional needs and software constraints. You will define and document software functional requirements in alignment with system requirements, design the software functional architecture, and develop control functions and algorithms using the Model-Based Design approach with MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Performing model verification and validation activities, including static analysis and Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) testing
- Generating embedded C code and ensuring compliance with applicable coding standards
- Performing Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) testing to verify the generated software against functional requirements
- Supporting software integration and validation on the target platform
- Analyzing software issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners throughout the V-cycle to ensure development consistency, traceability, and quality
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree or Engineering degree in Embedded Systems, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
- At least 1 year of professional experience in software development and testing using the Model-Based Design approach
- Experience in project management and team coordination is a plus
- Good knowledge of ICE, xHEV, and BEV powertrain architectures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges
- Proactive mindset, strong sense of responsibility, and high level of commitment
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English
