Description
WSP is seeking a Technical Director, Electrical Engineer for our San Francisco or Sacramento CA office.
The successful candidate will be involved in projects with our Transportation Sector Mechanical & Electrical Team, providing leadership to ensure electrical engineering subject matter, technical deliverables, infrastructure projects, and programs are delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance for complex assignments
- Analyze complex problems and develop new techniques or procedures
- Monitor project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
- Plan, organize, and supervise engineering staff and activities
- Make recommendations on project staffing
- Direct design tasks requiring independent judgment
- Ensure production of specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
- Perform electrical calculations, lighting design, facility electrical service, and power distribution design
- Collaborate with other design disciplines and mentor staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering and infrastructure design
- Engineer license required (multi-state preferred)
- Advanced proficiency with electrical engineering principles, practices, and infrastructure design
- Strong knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, and regulations
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- Experience in managing document review and approval

- Expected Salary: $190,000 - $260,000
