We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate in the Institutional Client Group Coverage, CIB.

In this role you will:

• Support the growth strategy of the business and manage risk on the portfolio.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the client base.
• Provide assistance to coverage team members.
• Undertake analysis and prepare proposals, presentations, and pitches for new products and services.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and concerns.
• Liaise with regional counterparts and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to individual client plans and revenue growth.
• Prepare relevant analysis, proposals, credit applications, and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Act as the First Line of Defence against Financial Crime and manage credit risk.

To be successful you will need:

• Knowledge of the Hong Kong financial industry and local/global institutional client market and regulatory environment.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Preferably knowledge of HSBC Group and products, with a strong network of contacts.
• Advanced understanding of risk management, risk mitigation, and Client Due Diligence risks.
• Excellent team player with strong interpersonal, sales, and communication skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to form effective relationships and exercise influence at senior levels.
• Strong understanding of risk management and risk mitigation.
• Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for HSBC values and business principles.
