Software Engineer - Backend (8 to 12 Yrs)

As a Software Engineer - Backend at Cisco Meraki, you will define, develop, validate, and automate features to help customers manage their networks.

You will be part of the Mars team, which brings Meraki Dashboard features to the Cisco Catalyst family. You will collaborate with various teams, including PM, cross-functional teams, and TMEs to build and implement features on time with quality.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelors or Master's degree with proven experience
• 10-12 years of total experience in software engineering with proficiency in Python, Ruby on Rails, or Go
• Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Experience leading a small team of engineers and getting projects completed

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience mentoring and guiding team members on code quality and system design
• Exposure to using LLMs and AI agents for coding
• Experience with Containerization and devops techniques to deploy solutions to Kubernetes/Cloud
• Proven track record of developing cloud-based networking solutions
• Proven track record of building quality code while serving customer needs
