Description

SpaceXAI is seeking a Controls Technician to support implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems for data centers and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing and modifying BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems for data centers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot critical systems like chillers, pumps, and power distribution.
  • Support preparation and updating of HMI graphics and interfaces.
  • Maintain automated controls for fire safety and emergency shutdown procedures.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics like PUE and infrastructure performance.
  • Coordinate with teams to respond to utility grid events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a technical field like Controls Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician working with industrial control systems.
  • Experience with Ignition SCADA or similar programming.
  • Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal or equivalent PLC programming.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial equipment using IEC 61131-3 languages.
  • Experience with hardware from Siemens, SEL, Rockwell, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of HMI development tools like Ignition.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently in a team environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended periods standing, in tight quarters, and exposed to noise.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift or carry 10-15lbs.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and random drug/alcohol testing.
