Description
We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Visa Cloud platform strategy team. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in maximizing system availability through proactive and reactive measures. You will build robust technical support and automation to eliminate or minimize incidents, investigate and resolve issues in response to live incidents, and work closely with software engineering teams to ensure the security, availability, and performance of the platform.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and support all platform and user operations related to Visa Cloud Platform services (IaaS/PaaS/Container as a service)
- Solve platform user and reliability issues on a daily basis
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions and root cause analysis
- Partner with software and systems engineers to ensure highly stable and performant services/systems
- Collaborate with team members on managing end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services
- Work in a 24/7/365 operation model with shift or on-call support
Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in Application or Production support group for high-availability/critical platforms/applications
- Hands-on experience in Linux and Windows systems and distributed computing environments
- Experience in networking technologies, virtualization, CI/CD/release support, container-related technologies, alerts and monitoring support, scripting, relational and non-relational databases, and ITIL disciplines
