Manager, Pricing

We are seeking a Manager, Pricing to join our team at Prudential.

As a Manager, Pricing, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Manager or Team Lead in defining and implementing appropriate Actuarial standards and work processes in relation to the provision of actuarial services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the product development and pricing process with other relevant departments, such as Marketing, IT, and Operations, to design products that meet the company's profitability targets and risk appetite.
• Provide technical support and specifications for new insurance products.
• Recommend pricing assumptions and profitability targets, and undertake pricing of products using Prophet.
• Provide accurate and timely actuarial support to the Product Implementation Team, including reviewing policyholder documentation and sales materials.
• Review and analyze Prophet model office financial output, and perform reasonableness checks as needed.
• Interpret and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders, and prepare pricing documentation for submission to relevant committees and regulators.
• Assess risks associated with new products, and identify mitigating solutions to manage those risks.
• Participate in company-wide business initiatives, such as product and process reviews, and provide general actuarial advice and expertise as needed.

Requirements:

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
• Good progress in actuarial professional examinations.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in programming tools such as Visual Basic.
• Practical knowledge of Prophet or other projection software is preferred.
• Meticulous and able to work under pressure, with strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
