Description
We are seeking a trainee lawyer to join our patent law team in Germany. As a trainee, you will work closely with our experienced lawyers on high-profile patent cases, including disputes before German courts, the Federal Court of Justice, the Federal Patent Court, and the European Patent Office.
Our patent law group is one of the leading teams in Germany, and our clients are innovative companies that rely on technical protection rights, their enforcement, and the defence of their technology.
As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills through our HLC Next programme, which includes personal mentoring, training on the job, support with preparing for the second state examination, practice insights, interactive skills trainings, and numerous networking events.

Ideally, you have:
- At least a satisfactory first state examination or a completed part of the first state examination at a German university
- Interest in economic connections and processes
- Very good English language skills
- The scientific work can also be carried out as part of a doctorate or legal clerkship
