Description
Electronic Arts is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the EA SPORTS™ FC Gameplay Advanced Team. The team focuses on making meaningful innovations in team strategy, AI, player animation, and player interactions. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on building a generative system to produce poses at runtime.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a complete animation data pipeline for ML training, from data source to deployment.
- Build stress tests to validate model robustness and performance prior to release.
- Gather and analyze live deployment data to identify issues and optimize model performance.
- Gather, annotate, and synthesize training data using EA FC mocap, real-world volumetric data, and feedback from animation experts.
- Share results through shipping features, presentations, papers, prototypes, and interactive demonstrations.
- Stay current with latest ML and animation advancements, collaborating with production, design, and art teams to identify and drive impactful projects.
- Apply machine learning techniques to develop high-quality human motion models that respond quickly to real-time controller input.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Python.
- 2+ years of industry experience within Machine Learning projects.
- Experience with 3D animation, 3D transformations, linear algebra.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with C++.
Nice to have:
- Experience optimizing ML models for real-time, memory- and compute-constrained environments.
- Experience with ML Applications in the game/entertainment domain.
- Experience in imitation learning (IL).
- Familiarity using 3D animation tools and/or game engines a bonus.
