We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Intermountain Health's Garfield Memorial Clinic.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care.

Responsibilities:

Provide patient care under the direction of a clinician, gathering information relevant to a patient's visit and condition.
Communicate effectively with patients through various modalities, including telephone and in-person interactions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality patient care, paying attention to detail and follow-through.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience, or a current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah.
Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver high-quality patient satisfaction.
Ability to protect patient privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
Current national MA certification from a recognised certifying organisation.
