Daily Substitute Teacher

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Daily Substitute Teacher at Parma Academy School in Parma, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Parma Academy is a premier early learning school for EK-3rd grade students, founded in 2019. The school features a safe and secure campus, small class sizes, and technology in the classroom.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Maintaining accurate records of students' progress and development
• Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
• Managing student behavior in the classroom
• Creating a positive classroom environment
• Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms
• Communicating with families about student growth
• Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice
• Participating in non-instructional activities as needed
• Collaborating with colleagues

Requirements:

• Active Ohio teaching license in the relevant content area
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to supervise students of various ages
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in an urban environment
