Description
HP is seeking a Quality Engineer for Surface Mount Technology based in their CM partner factory near Sriperumbudur. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of the organization's inspection methods, quality guidelines, and best practices
- Design and integrate quality requirements into manufacturing processes
- Support new product introduction at the factory
- Craft test strategies and automate test frameworks
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and minimize risk of failures
- Implement changes to reduce defects and improve quality
- Analyze quality reports and communicate findings to the quality engineering leader and product team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience, with 5 years in PC/3C products-related industry
- Experience in electronics industry with SMT/PCA manufacturing
- Knowledge of process/product quality, IQC/IPQC/OQC, and line/process audits
- Strong quality tools knowledge, including RC/CAPA, 8D, Lean 6S, Kaizen
- Good understanding of current PC technology/architecture and HW/SW
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
